Find your trip

Alaya is for anyone who’s ever come home from a trip feeling like they saw everything and experienced nothing.

We’re a curated Philippine travel company designing small-group and fully private journeys: rugged outdoor expeditions, unhurried cultural discovery, wellness retreats, and bespoke itineraries.

Fewer places. Deeper stays. Real relationships with the land and the people who call it home.

The name

aláya

/ ah · LAH · yah /

Every language that touches the word agrees on one thing: it is a beginning.

Kapampangan

Dawn

And east, the direction the sun chooses first. The hour before a place has decided what it wants to be.

Something in you wakes up.

Sanskrit

Dwelling

An abode, a place of rest, the root behind “Himalaya.” In Buddhist thought, the quiet keeper of every experience you’ve ever had.

Something in you settles in and is changed.

Arabic

Noble

Words built on this sound speak of what is high, noble, and sublime, worth the reaching.

Something in you comes back a little more.

Specific, or it doesn’t go on the page

We don’t sell “bucket lists.” We name the moment.

If a sentence could describe any trip anywhere, we rewrite it until it can only describe this one. Tap a cliché to see what we write instead.

Our standard

What makes it Alaya

Six things we hold to on every departure, every line. The difference between a tour and a trip that stays with you.

  1. 01

    Small by design

Capped group sizes, always. Intimacy isn’t a marketing word here. It’s a headcount limit.

  2. 02

    Considered, not rushed

Fewer stops, longer stays. The itinerary has room to breathe, and so do you.

  3. 03

    Curated, not catalogued

Every trip is hand-built by people who’ve actually been there, not assembled from a supplier catalogue.

  4. 04

    Local and real

Real guides, real hosts, real relationships, not a scripted “cultural experience.”

  5. 05

    A line for every appetite

Rugged or restful, group or private. Alaya meets you where you are, not the other way around.

  6. 06

    Founder-led, traveller-tested

Built and run by two people who travel this way themselves, not a booking platform with a nice logo.

Mirjan

Founder-led, traveller-tested

Two best friends and a shared complaint.

Between us, we’ve done the fast trip, the big-bus tour, the itinerary crammed with landmarks and light on memory. And we kept noticing the same gap.

The trips that actually changed us were never the ones that moved fastest. They were the ones where we stayed a little longer, and let a place teach us something instead of just showing it to us.

MirjanThe one who’s seen more airports and time zones than almost anyone in the room.

Built for Filipino travellers, open to everyone

Designed around your leave days, not a brochure’s.

Priced in pesos

Every trip is priced in PHP first, with USD and EUR shown for travellers joining from elsewhere. Switch any time, top right.

Made for limited leave

Trips sized for real vacation leave, so the few days you have actually count, and you come back rested, not wrecked.

Solo-friendly

Joining on your own? We’ll match you with a roommate of the same gender, or you can ask for a private room.

Walked before it’s sold

Every place, guide, and host has been met by one of us in person before it reaches an itinerary.
