Every Alaya trip is planned end-to-end — but getting to the trip, and being covered once you’re on it, is its own kind of logistics. Tell us what you need, and we’ll handle it alongside your itinerary, whichever line you’re travelling.

Flights

We track fares, watch for schedule changes, and book on your behalf so your arrival lines up with the rest of the group — or, for Reserve trips, whatever timing actually works for you.

Hotels & Stays

Extra nights before or after a trip, a stopover city, or somewhere private for a Reserve itinerary — we book it directly with properties we’ve stayed at ourselves wherever we can.

Travel Insurance

Every Alaya trip requires cover, so we make getting it straightforward instead of something you sort out the night before you fly.

Claims guidance if something goes wrong while you’re with us
Reminders before your policy needs to be in place

How we charge for this

We don’t mark up flights, hotels, or insurance premiums — you pay what the airline, property, or insurer charges. Concierge assistance is a flat service fee per booking category, waived entirely for Alaya Reserve travellers, since it’s already folded into the planning fee.

Do I have to book a trip with Alaya to use this?

No. It’s most useful alongside a trip you’ve booked with us, but we can also help with insurance or flights for travel you’re doing entirely on your own.

Can you help with visas?

Not yet — for now we handle flights, hotels, and insurance only, though we’re happy to point you toward reliable visa services for your specific nationality and destination.

How far in advance should I ask for flight help?

As soon as your trip dates are close to fixed. Fares and seat availability only get more limited the longer you wait, especially for Journeys, Expeditions with fixed departure dates.

Is the insurance you recommend the same for every trip?

No. An Expeditions policy needs cover for trekking and altitude that a Journeys or Retreats policy doesn’t. We match the recommendation to the specific trip.
